August 2023 Recap

18 August 2023

You amazing, wonderful creative people!

Between August 5 and 12, more than 250 Rogues from 17 different countries grabbed their costumes and canvases and joined us for the inaugural Rogue Hunt. Marionettes were made, treehouses were built, poems were written, canoes were… canoed? You made us laugh, cry, and see the good in the world. We are so so so thankful for the trust you’ve put in us, and we hope you had as much fun as we did.

We laughed. We cursed. We created. We left our comfort zones. We learned more about the world and did some good in it.

Check out the highlight reel below:

If you can’t laugh at yourself, then what’s the point? Here’s some lowlights, laughs, and frustrations from the 2023 Rogue Hunt.

All videos / images submitted by participants as part of item 68 highlighting the week’s failures, laughs, and memorable moments.

But it wasn’t all just for laughs – we raised more than $8,000 for the Starfish Foundation along the way – including $4,387 for the Joel Baque scholarship, which will be awarded for the first time in 2024.
