Saturday, August 3, 9am EDT – Sunday, August 11, 9am EDT
The Rogue Hunt is back for our second annual week-long scavenger hunt. This team-based hunt will challenge you to stretch your creativity in new ways as you create art, connect with your community, and attempt new and unusual skills.
Where: Tasks can be completed from anywhere. The 2023 Rogue Hunt had participants from 17 different countries. Participants can connect with their teammates virtually.
Cost: $20. Limited Scholarships are available.
Why: To share our love of weird art, to create friendly competition, and to put some additional goodness into the world.
Registration will reopen June 1.
Tell Me More
Teams:
Teams will be made up of 4-6 people. At registration you will be asked to indicate your team type:
Will your team be competitive and aim to win the overall prize?
Will you focus on the social good items and acts of kindness?
Will your team be chill and plan to do a few items? or…
Will your team just hang out and donate and may or may not do items?
If you do not have a team at registration, you can register individually and we’ll place you with others who are looking for a similar style of play.
The Hunt
At 9am Eastern Time on August 3, a list will be made available with various items/tasks. Each task will have a corresponding point value if completed. With your team, select which tasks you want to tackle and then submit images, videos, and PDFs (as directed by the item). To submit an item, you’ll upload it to a Google Drive.
Prizes
There’s more than one way to win!
Overall Winner: Awarded to the team that earns the most points.
Altruist Prize: Awarded to the team that does the most ‘good’ (fundraising, acts of kindness, etc.)
Item Specific Prize(s): These will be identified when the list drops. Awarded to the individual(s) who best completes (a) specific item(s).
Judges’ Choice Prize – The judges will award an additional prize at their own discretion to an individual or team that they feel deserves recognition
Our Nonprofit Partner: The Starfish Foundation
40% of your Rogue Hunt registration fee goes to The Starfish Foundation – this is a nonprofit that provides scholarship, tutoring, and leadership development to youth living in extreme poverty in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The Starfish Foundation distributes scholarships in the form of all books, uniforms and materials required by the school. You can learn more about their work at https://www.thestarfishchange.org/.
That does not mean that Starfish is the only benefactor of the Rogue Hunt. During every hunt, there have been and will continue to be multiple organizations / nonprofits who can benefit from tasks (monetarily or otherwise). The nonprofit benefited by our Spread Goodness Like Glitter item changes from hunt to hunt and will be announced at a later date
