Pleased to announce that our nonprofit partner for the Rogue Hunt will be The Starfish Foundation. 50% of all registration fees will go towards their programing and initiatives
The Starfish Foundation / Fundación Estrellitas del Mar provides scholarship, tutoring, and leadership development to youth living in extreme poverty in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The Starfish Foundation distributes scholarships in the form of all books, uniforms and materials required by the school.
As our non-profit partner, Starfish will:
- Host registration, including collecting registration fees
- Suggest items for the task list
- Make the list available in Spanish
- Help with judging
- Send out prizes once winners have been announced
Additionally, teams of Starfish scholars, volunteers, and educators will be encouraged to participate in the Rogue Hunt.
Why does Rogue need an official partner?
Rogue isn’t an established nonprofit or business (yet) and therefore we cannot host our own registration. To ensure your safety (as well as our own) collecting personal information, collecting registration fees, and paying out winners has to be run by another entity. Plus, you get the benefit of knowing your money is in the hands of a legitimate nonprofit and not three admins who promise to be trustworthy on the internet.
